Milks Carbon Footprint

The supermarket chain Tesco has become the first UK food retailer to introduce carbon footprint details to one of its top selling products; milk. From yesterday, all Tesco own label full-fat, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk ranges will carry the carbon footprint label, encouraging many shoppers to become greener when making their purchases. The supermarket giant has plans to introduce the scheme to some 500 products by the end of this year and will not just apply to their organic ranges, which would naturally have a lesser footprint.
