During an expedition in Papua New Guinea to film for a new programme called the Lost Land of the Volcano, the team filmed the tiny birds in their natural habitat. The nest was sited deep in the rainforest as the birds hatch their broods on termite mounds and use their beaks and claws to dig a well in which to lay their eggs.
